By accessing or using the Vote On Issues platform ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Eligibility
The Platform is available to verified US citizens who are registered voters. You must be at least 18 years of age. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.
2. Account Registration and Identity Verification
Participating in votes requires identity verification against official voter registration records. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and not to impersonate another person or create fraudulent accounts. Each eligible citizen may hold one verified account.
3. Permitted Use
You may use the Platform for lawful civic participation. You agree not to:
- Attempt to vote more than once on any issue
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Platform
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent identity verification
- Interfere with the security or integrity of the Platform
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
4. Intellectual Property
The Vote On Issues platform and its core voting methodology are protected by US Patent #12412185B2. All content, trademarks, and other intellectual property on the Platform are owned by Vote On Issues or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
5. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Votes are recorded anonymously; personally identifiable information is not linked to individual vote records.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Vote On Issues does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vote On Issues shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may close your account at any time by contacting us at privacy@voteonissues.org.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Clark County, Nevada.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
